Getting a Necropsy

Does anyone know if there are places to get a chicken necropsied? I am doing a little research for a fellow Nor. California chicken owner who lost three birds in the space of a very short time. Any advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated!

Try a search for "Poultry Lab" in your state. We have one in GA that does this free for non-commercial instate owners - they will do them for out of state for a charge.
They have to be kept refrigerated (not on ice) until arrangements made and the lab will tell one how to ship.

I've not done this and don't know the max time from demise til shipping would be.
