Getting a new duck

Hello!!
I currently have 4 runner ducks they are going on 1 year old...I’m getting a 7wk old Peking duck...anything I need to worry about introducing her to the girls

Well you need to make sure your Runners won't pick on your little one and I wouldn't leave her out with them by herself, slow introductions are best. My Runners are very accepting of another Runner not sure how they would react to a different breed. Maybe let your Pekin sleep in their house over night in a dog crate so they get use to her but can't pick.

No problem. I had that problem when I introduced new ducks because they were too young

If your there to prevent any trouble that is most important, But letting them all meet doesn't mean your just letting her be out with them un attended.Never a good idea. Toss some treats on the ground that makes for less stress when introducing too.

That’s a great idea!! Thank you!!! And my little peepers has made a full recovery from being egg bound!!!
