I know all you guys probably don't want to read this, lol but I had to share with the ladies. Ever since I was around 20 and DH and I started looking at engagement rings I have LOOOOVED Tacori rings. They are CRAZY expensive. Anyway, I didn't get one but have a very pretty ring set that I really like. That was 8 years ago. I've started thinking about those rings again recently (probably b/c I started painting my nails again after about a 5 year hiatus, lol) and I decided to buy this:

Take a guess at how much it is...
I'll post more about it in a little bit.

That's very pretty! hhhhmmm I'm not good at guessing prices, but I'll say you probably got a good deal. Maybe $500?

y'all... I swear I'm not bragging, lol! I was amazed at how little such a beautiful ring could cost.

eta: it's 2.25 carats total, 1.60 carats for the center stone

all good things come with time though.

Yayy!!! It's so pretty! I just took my engagement ring in last night to have my marquise set into a new band, I won't have it for 2 more weeks, but I can't wait!!

I am not sure how to guess your price though, you say it wasn't crazy expensive.... but last night a platinum band with tiny diamonds down the sides set my future mother in law back $1,000 and I already HAD the big diamond... so I would guess yours is about $1,500????

Well, maybe you should check out this ring then, lol! Okay, QVC teamed up with Tacori to do diamonique rings... so this is one of them. It's a whopping $75, lol! Here's the link: http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/...Epiphany-Diamonique-225-ct-tw-Fancy-Pear-Ring I don't really care if a ring is real or not... plus, I would be the only one to know unless I chose to tell someone.

On a side note I had this gorgeous ring that looked like topaz with diamonds on the side. It was fake but looked real. I told my SIL that DH had bought it for me and that it wasn't real and she said "You LET him buy you a FAKE ring? I would NEVER wear a fake ring"

So needless to say I will NOT be telling her this one is fake. I'll let her think we spent 10 grand on it.

eta: I kind of feel bad that I got this ring b/c DH really did get me nice one - I think the center stone is around 1/2 carat with small round and baguettes on the sides plus a matching band. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE the look of Tacori! So maybe I'll just wear the Tacori one for fun every once in a while... we'll see.

I agree, I have NO problem wearing a fake ring. Unfortunately, My new mother in law to be is ridiculously fancy and pretentious...... I can't believe it was only $75 though, that's great! it's a fantastic ring, AND it looks like a heck of a lot more expensive!!

I would wear a fake ring if it was high enough quality that the metal didnt flake or dicolor much. My ring set is 1 carat total with both bands and DH let me pick it out which made everyone I know mad but hey I got what I wanted!

I picked out my wedding/engagment ring too - I'm glad I did b/c DH had NO clue, lol! This Tacori ring is platinum clad so it should feel and look like the real thing. No flaking metal or green finger

thanks a lot! Now I'm sitting on this QVC site looking at all these rings

they are great!

And I agree about quality fakes, but these rings are definitely quality fakes!
