Getting a peahen

there has been a peahen wondering our neighborhood and we just got the offer to keep her but I was wondering if a full grown peahen will get along with my chickens or ducks. I heard blackhead can kill them. Any advice is very helpful

I know nothing about peafowl but I would leave it be. There's the risk of introducing disease into your flock and to the peahen itself.. Are you certain it's a stray? Perhaps maybe she belongs to someone who allows their peafowl to free range.. My guinea hens always liked to go to my neighbor's houses which is a good 1-2 miles away to visit them.

The neighborhood says that if someone doesn’t claim it soon they are going to “get rid of the problem” so I want her to have a good long life

I also have a friend who just lost her girl peahen to a fox so if I can’t take her she would love her

The closest house who I know has peacocks is about a mile away and across a highway and a slue

Can you try to find the owner of the peahen?

So the owner just lets them free range and when they die she replaces them. We found the owner.
