Hey Yall I am going to be getting 12 chickes next week and I need breed ideas. I have BR and NHR now, what do you think would be a good addition? I am also going to get 6 meat birds I will most likely be getting cornish x (thats usually what they have at TSC)
Im also going to get some ducklings if they have them.

That all depends on what you want out of the chickies.
Super friendly? Cochin is the way I would go.
Super eggers? Leghorn is a nice choice but rather bland to look at IMO. Mine have great personality though.
Cool to look at? The options are endless.
If you cannot have or do not want a rooster then be sure to get pullets not straight run.
Every time I have gotten straight run they were ALL roosters. [IMG]

Happy that you can get duckies too!
I really like the Cayuga as an over all friendly, quiet and nice duck.
