Hey all. I'm new to the site. I kept chickens and one rooster, a LOT of years ago. It became impractical at some point so I gave it up. For the last 9 years we've been living on our sailboat in Charleston SC so again, not too practical. We have since moved back on land and have become very health conscious in a lot of ways. With dirt and not salt water we can now dig deeper into life and chickens are a part of that.
My sister in California has been keeping chickens for a while so I keep up with her progress, successes and failures. She's the one that introduced me to the site. So, my goal now is to sort out the breed since we have about 2.5 acres to play on and see where it goes. We're excited to get into it.
Cheers all from SC.
