Hello all! I'm new to the site. It's been years since I've had chickens, so I'm re-starting myself with a small flock of 4 feathery friends. I got them all for free (score!!
). I've got 3 females and one male. One 9 wk old Cinnamon Queen (female), one 9 wk old Ameraucana (female), one 4 wk old Blue Silkie (female), and one 6 wk old Blue Laced Red Wyandotte (male).
My Cinnamon Queen is a lover, she likes being held and petted. The Ameraucana is more timid, and she's kind of cranky, but still lets me pick her up and hold her. The Blue Silkie likes hanging out with me, she crawled into my sweatshirt pocket this morning and peeped away! And the Blue Laced Red Wyandotte is a sweet boy, he loves laying in my lap and getting petted.
Anyone else have experience with these breeds? Pros/cons? Likes/dislikes?
