(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Nope, I raised Silkies and Rhode Island Reds as a teen with my family about 12 years ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
3 hens, 1 pullet, one chick, 35 quail at various stages of growth, and one pretty white guinea keet. I also have a cabinet incubator so I'm adding more as they hatch.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Cochen, 2 smooth, 2 frizzle. 1 Braggs Mountain Buff chick from a local breeder. Getting more eggs to hatch soon.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I just love their noises and how soft their feathers are. having the best eggs in town is a great bonus!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Sewing fancy girls' clothes, crochet, cross stitch, messing around with my Silhouette to make fun things for myself and others, and planter gardening. I'll try any craft at least once.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a stay at home momtrepreneur with 5 feral kids and a great husband. We have a red footed tortoise named Cherry, 2 goofy greyhounds named Smoke and Hades, and 2 bully mutts, as well as 2 cats(one of which makes a point to inform us if a bird ever gets loose; our sheep-cat, I guess? He's weird.), plus our small, but growing, city flock. We're located in Georgia, USA.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
I've been checking out BYC for years whenever I missed having chickens. <3 I joined because I finally have fluff birds again!

Added location, thank you.

Welcome :welcome Nice to have you here! Sounds like you have your hands full.... but at least with good things :thumbsup Always happy to see folks with greyhounds, I’ve had three, fostered many. I absolutely love those needle nose couch potatoes :D

Very full, but wouldn't have it any other way! Most days, at least, lol!
Greyhounds are amazing. I think the only other breed of dog *I* would choose to consciously acquire is an Australian Shepherd. Hoping to get a pup as a farm dog once we get a place out of town on some property.
