Hi! I don't know that I'm entirely a new member to chickens, though I am to BYC. It has been a couple years since I've had chickens, and I am so excited to get back into it. Got a small flock of Barred Rocks yesterday, and am counting down until I get to hear the rooster crow this morning. I am planning on getting into showing with a friend who is already much farther ahead than I am and has shown before. I just need to settle on a breed to show. After looking at the Livestock Conservancy, I'd like to go with a breed that is either critical or threatened. I've had Faverolles before, and would enjoy having them again. Though I am certainly open to suggestions!

Please try Delawares bring them back the way they supost to be. Grow fast and very good for meat production i would like some of this instead of cornish x .

Great choice on the rocks they were my first choice when I first wanted chickens. I eventually ended up getting Rhode Island reds because that's what my orscheln's had. Great information here at BYC. I have never shown before but there are some beautiful breeds I have seen at my county fair every year.
