We have recently decided that we would like to add a couple of breeds of bantams to our farm. I think I might be addicted to birds now. LOL! The problem I am having is deciding on which ones to get and where to get them from. I am really starting to like the ideal of having some frizzle bantams but like a variety of colors. We have seprate pens for all of our different breeds of poultry because we would like to be able to sell our extras at swap meets. Here are some of my questions:

Are Bantams more fragile then regular sized birds (I know they are smaller so that makes them a little more fragile)?

Are frizzle a good breed to take or what in your opinion is a better bantam breed to keep?

How much space in the run a coop would you suggest to give a bantam?

We are looking for egg production and appeal to people, is there a breed that fits this?

If I get more then one color of the frizzle for example a red and a black would it be ok to put them in the same pen, or would that be no no if we wanted to sell them for 4H or FFA

Yes certain Bantams are alot more fragile then large breeds.

I have only had one frizzeled so not much knowledge of them

As far as best bantam breed that depends. Cochins are good they do like to go broody same as silkies but their not best egg layers, Modern game Bantams are worst layers, Bantam polish so so on laying eggs

I raise mostly Bantams and my best egg layers are my Bantam welsummers and my Bantam Olive eggers
