Getting Chickens into Coop at night

I didn't mention that we also moved the extra 6 (chicken math) pulleys out to the coop now too... Not sure what to do with the CX.
Adding birds will certainly complicate things, especially if your coop is not big enough for the number of birds you have.
Integrating new birds works best with lots of extra, separate, but adjacent space.

CX are meant to be eaten by 8 weeks old.
Folks have kept them as pets for longer but they don't live long,
without seclusion and diet control.
Better to slaughter humanely than to let them die of organ failure IMO.
 
I did keep back a cx hen for meat breeding .. they were raised with the layers, but since a few weeks old they all got feed 2x a day and had to forage for more... winter was an issue and she died a week shy of 1yr old :hit
