Hello everyone,
I just want to introduce myself
big_smile.png

I am new to this site and new to chickens, in fact, I haven't even got any yet!
So, that is why I am here... TO LEARN! I am an earth loving, all things natural,
small business supporting 18 year old vegan.
Because of recent doctors appointments, I am now an OVO-VEGAN

which I wasn't happy about at first I must admit.
Due to lack of proper nutrition, I have now got a "messed up" Mitral Valve in my heart;
Hence my need for more protein. As of right now, I drive a half an hour away to get eggs
from a farm where i can meet and survey the health and treatment of the chickens, OR
i drive the same distance to a friends house who has backyard chickens. Lucky for me,
being daddies little girl, he agreed to allow me to have my own chickens. That way I can
make sure they are treated right, organic, free range, happy chickens

and no, I will not
be eating them.... Just the eggs. If there is anything at all you feel i should know about
chickens, this forum, anything; PLEASE feel free to do so. THANKS, happy posting!!
