Glad you are here. I know several vegans (well) and they were pleased to see me (as an omnivore) raising my own and treating them well. So, it will be okay.
My biggest advice to you is NEVER go to the meat thread and do not even open threads that look like might lead to that, if you are not interested in it, it will not be good to even go there. That is my greatest advice, and please know, it is not meant to be anything other than advice.
