I've figured out how to get my chicks to sleep in my hand now
The chicks were kind of shy when I first got them, but are less so now after socializing with them more. They are now a week old.
So my method to get them to sleep in my hand is to first hold them onto your palm, and gently push their body so they are laying chest down on your palm. Then I gently stroke their head above their eye, and after doing that for less than a minute, you will see their eyes start closing, at that point, you stop stroking and they fall asleep.
I will have to take some pics or videos today.
Also, it seems after doing that, they are much more inclined to let you grab them up from the bin now.
