18 week old RIR (hatchery stock). No other birds ill in the flock, no sign of worms that I see.

I noticed her crop about 10 days ago. I separated her, withheld food, flushed her crop and vomited her. I could not feel anything hard in her crop so decided to leave her alone, feed her soft food. She would not eat yogurt, apple sauce or any other liquid food I gave her. So I soaked layer food (I have 2 laying so everybody is on layer) so it was liquidy and she ate that well. She did really well for about 3 days. Then her crop got distended again and ate very, very little. I felt her crop and she vomited just from me feeling it. I made the decision to flush her crop one more time. A lot of feathers came out. She was obviously feather picking due to being bored. I figured it was better to put her back with the flock than have her bored while lone.

Of course the flock didn't accept her back right away. They don't seem to be picking on her but, they are shunning her. Just not letting her roost with them, they allow her to eat but, not treats (No big deal since I'd rather her not eat too many anyway). I went to check on them after some rain today and this pullet was wet while the others dry. I watched for a bit and it seems she is feather picking still. Her crop is very distended again. She did poop while I was watching so I think she is eating at least a bit. She is smaller than the rest because of her week or so in 'sick bay'.

I just don't know what to do. I obviously can't keep her apart from the rest to easily treat her.

I don't even know what to do to treat her anymore. I even tried monostat but, only for a few days. I don't know how to continue giving it to her while with the flock since I was giving it in her food. (I have no idea how to "pill" a chicken...a dog, cat, even a guinea pig but, not a chicken!)

Should I flush her crop again? Is the stress of catching her worth it? Should leave her be and see what happens? Should I figure out how to get something else into he?

Another question....I have seen suggestions for ACV....how much?

I'm lost....I have been thinking of culling her but, I gave her the monostat and was hoping to give withdrawl time. I'm not sure she will last that long. Maybe I should just end her suffering....I don't know!

I'm sorry you both are having to go through this. I don't really know much about this or what to do but for the ACV in the water you can put 1-2 TBS in there. I hope that helps.
