Getting Goat kids

To answer the deworming question.
We do not deworm anymore.Have not for about 2 years now.
They are so resistant to many differed meds now and tend to be over wormed.
We started out with 3 pigmy goats.. 2 boys and a girl( not related) from a a breeder that NEVER had problems with worms (regular or BarberPole worms ..We then added 3 more goats ..a adult doe fainting goat and a doe with baby ( around 4 months old ) that was a Nubian X and a male pygmy.They came from auctions and we where lied to as to where they came from.They where full of worms and ended up dying from Barberpole anyway after we spend a shitload on vets to save them.Mama doe hung on for over a week after getting bottleneck.Short of trying to put meds up her from the rear we tried everything and she still ended up dead.As did her mates that came from that auction. ( luckily others did not get it after we rotated them onto a diff pasture. I have talked to many vets about the worm issue and they all agree.,., we overworm and they get more resistant each year.
Same with my chickens.. no meds or deworm or anything.. only some spray for mites to keep them off of the chickens. I ea their eggs and I do not want any meds or anything I give them in the eggs..I know about the withdrawal time and that might be OK for others but I just do give anything to them.
( Unless they are sick or whatnot, then of course they get meds or doctored.)
We cull when needed or warranted.

@WVduckchick
How are your little monsters today? 🐐🐐🤣

I have a lot of catching up to do here, but my little monsters are being little monsters. :lol: the smaller one still runs from my Pug dog, but they are doing very well overall. The chickens and ducks are finally used to them being around and don’t go crazy.
Thanks for asking!

You wouldn't have to run electric around the whole fence either. Just where she's getting out, and the side that faces the house.

Have you tried cattle panels in the place she's jumping? It may or may not work.
No I have to buy cattle panels first. I'll go buy the electric wire too. She definitely knows how to get out. I will try today and see where she got out .

That's great. I'm glad you are having fun.👍
I sure love mine too. I just hope to figure Fancy out soon. She definitely is a bad little girl..😂

She is very right!! My goats were free range all summer...when I was out with them..they would go in and out of their pen..never had one issue. My fence is a typical 4’ cattle fence. No one ever tried to get out. If I shut the door, because it was a muddy mess and wanted them to get nice grass, sometimes they would be mad about that...but, they never jumped. Maybe she’s upset with Ozzy? Maybe he’s too rough on her? You said he’s a very Bucky wether
No, he has calmed down and isn't stressing her. She doesn't care where he is. She only wants to be with me if not in the kennel pen.
