Getting Goat kids

Two boys. I plan to wether them in a few more weeks. I wouldn’t mind having milk at some point, but thought starting with a couple wethers would be easiest for me.

Names I haven’t totally decided yet. I’ve been testing out Dinky on the smaller one, and Dexter on the larger one, but we’ll see if those names stick or not.

Lol...lol...lol...goats HATE rain!!! They are very very very dramatic! They hate new feed, they hate a new barn, they hate change. They hate when hay falls on the ground, so be prepared to use it for bedding of chickens or something...lol. They are wonderful, so don’t let me scare you! But they are soooo funny! Everyone says they eat everything...it’s so not true! Everyone says they make great lawnmowers...they eat what pieces they choose...they are very loving, sweet, gentle but rowdy at times...Our land gets hit with tons and tons of snow this time of year...then it melts and is a swamp. They hate that. What can you do? Keep up on hoove trimming. Watch for worms more often. Feed more hay. If you can free range down the road at some point...great. If not...can you rotate pasture? It’s kind of a must with goats anyways at some point because the worms will get resistant to the to the dewormer. My older girls are free range. My newer ones are penned for now. In spring I’m hoping the original ones will teach my kids and new goats the ropes and everyone can free range. The way we taught them was to tie up one goat. surprisingly...they don’t leave each other. We had three at the time. We tied up the buck, for obvious reasons. Once he was sold, the girls just knew to stay in the same area. It was just that easy. Obviously at night they all went in the pen, for safety. We have a smaller goat barn for the summer months..and a barn for now. The goat barn doesn’t need to be fancy, just something to get them out of weather and heat....etc. ours is about 12’ x 20’.

I’ve already learned that mine like to chew on power cords. I’m having to block off so much. They are staying in our home office (part of my garage) at the moment, until they can go outside.
And the little boogers can already jump so well!! Amazes me. “Dexter” loves chewing my hair. Lol

I’ve already learned that mine like to chew on power cords. I’m having to block off so much. They are staying in our home office (part of my garage) at the moment, until they can go outside.
And the little boogers can already jump so well!! Amazes me. “Dexter” loves chewing my hair. Lol

My Doe is a Fainting goat and Ozzy is a ND/Fainting goat cross. Ozzy is 7 months and Fancy is turning 1 in May.

I'm getting the other two kids to balance out my kids and I really hope that Ozzy will have fun with the other wether goat. Bo and Tori are pure Nigerian dwarfs and dehorned too.

Well now have divided the birds from my grow out had 5 speckled sussex, 2 blue cochin and 2
a blue mix and one EE I bought at auction... Then my 2nd cockerel who is a blue copper marans as run out by my older cockerel by maybe 5 or 6 months... Thinking new tribe 2 speckled 2 blue cochin a blue andalusian mix and the EE and Mr Blue marans

I have a new baby kid that chews my hair too! Another that paws at my leg for attention! I love it! I have Pygmy, ND and fainting goats. I think my favorite is my ND, but, it could be because I have some with super personalities.

These are the moms and four of the five new kids. Ignore their heads...they just got disbudded...I know, it looks awful, but it will grow aNd I will not get hit in the eye ever again
