Getting Goat kids

Good morning everyone! We are in the midst of a blizzard here! Ugh... so, I don’t Think I’ll be walkin* goats today. The debudding didn’t take on a few of the kids, so I ordered my own iron. Now we are goin* to redo it next week! Ugh! I feel so bad for these guys! Plus, little Willy bumped his bud off last night and it was all bloody. I put peroxide on it. But I learned to put cornstarch on it and get blood stop at TS. They are itching them. I’m sure they are Bothering * them as are growing out and scabby. Well...have a great day 3veryone!View attachment 2037553View attachment 2037554View attachment 2037555View attachment 2037556
Did you burn them off with a burning iron? When i was dehorning my kids i was told that when the buds fall off they do bleed, but to not put anything on it..

It was also my first time dehorning them and we waited a little too long to do the bucks and ended up burning too deep on his right horn. Must of burned into his nasal canal because there was a lot of buggery/smelly discharge coming from it. Luckily though with some probiotics we managed to keep the infection at bay until it healed. He's much better now but now i'm worried that the burning didn't take?
Here are the kids I dehorned, Thoughts? I'll try and get better pictures of the buck today(Buck is the mostly brown one)

Thank you~!
Sorry i haven't been very active lately. It's been a stressful month for me. Just a whole bunch of family drama 🙄 To add to the stress unfortunately Charlotte had a very difficult labor. We had no vets that could come down and help us out. We tried pretty much everything we could to get the piglets out, We even tried giving her oxytocin to increase the contractions. But I only managed to pull out 4 piglets (all breeched, one dead) I think she was in labor for a total of 26 hours before we finally put her down 😔 On a more happier note the 3 remaining piglets (All boys) Are doing amazing and thriving, their names are Charlie (After his mom Charlotte) Red, and Pumba

I've been good besides everything else. Honey is actually in early labor, So she'll probably have kids either tonight or tomorrow. Possibly maybe Sunday? I hope not.. i'm picking up another doe (Yes another one ) from good milking lines, She also just kidded and had a little doe so actually i'm picking up two more does on Sunday, That'll up my herd to 12 plus however many kids Honey has

Hopefully not too early so the kids survive. Was she supposed to be having them soon anyways? I bet they will be adorable..
Please post pictures..Lucy is due to have her puppies on Tuesday. She is pretty big too.

Honey is due at the end of this month, So not early at all :) I'm going outside right now to check on how she's doing and get some pens clean.
I miss having puppies on the farm~! can't wait to see Lucy babies~ 💕

My Son put up a higher fence along the back of my goats pen and that keeps Fancy in back there. Although the crazy girl now jumps up onto the kennel roof and jumps out! Now we are adding something to the kennel top to block her from jumping up there. 😳😂🐐🐐
Yikes, Fancy sure sounds like a lot of work to contain 😅

Yep, My original goats are still getting used to her but they're much more comfortable around her now~ She's a smart dog too, If she notices the goats are startled she'll just lay down and wait for them to calm down. I let her out to do chores with me and she loves hanging out with the turkeys  She's a good dog although can have her moments of naughtiness (Caught her ripping up one of her toys and making a mess with the stuffing)
