yester I had to separate the momma goats from all the kids. It was terrible!! The kids are 7 1/2 weeks old so I’m weaning to sell one next week. The mommas bawled the whole way to the pen, all last night and I hear them now. My stomach is churning sooo bad!! I dreamt that they all jumped the fence. I put Sugar, the oldest kid in with the others. She did not live in the barn since she was bought with her mom. But, they all had been playing for about two weeks. Well, Willy, my Wether is as tall as her and he was bullying her, which made her bully the twins. She cried a lot. The kids didn’t cry, bu5 I dont think they realized the mommas weren’t there, or weren’t coming back for awhile. I have to bring the moms in to milk them. It’s going to be awful. I’ll have the kids locked in a stall but the bawling will be unbearable. There’s not enough room in the other barn, and I don’t want it outside. It’ll get you my and I’ll have to sit on it. Plus, they are used to having it against the barn wall, to lean against as I milk 5hem. Either way, there’s goin* to be unlimited bawling in my future. So, can anyone tell me about how lon* to expect this?? To top that off, Chris got a shingles vaccine yesterday and it’s making his whole body hurt terrible today..so, he’ll be useless!! Ugh!!
