Hello,

I am new to the Kingston area and after fighting with ticks this spring, I am getting guinea keets.
I come from the Waterloo area where we had the odd tick, this area where my new home is, is INFESTED. I do not even want to walk on the grass, which is kept short.
Daily picking ticks off my 5 dogs and myself. Dogs are on Symparica Trio but me, I'm unprotected tick food...I continue to ponder why big pharma has not rolled out a human vax for ticks.🤔
Anyway, better days ahead with Guinea Fowl and sudden death to ticks.
I refuse to spray chemicals because I don't want to eradicate beneficial insects. I did put diatomaceous earth around house perimeter and dog run\dog yard.
The other 2.5 acres consist of beautiful forest and a pond.
Husband has said NO to ducks and that's just fine with me because I'd prefer to have geese anyway😋really nasty geese that will chase strangers away😄
Need to build or buy a guinea home and came here seeking advice and the wisdom of people with more experience than me.

Cheers!
