Getting mad at my meaties..... is this right?

I would go with the 26% and pure it to them 24/7.
If they are in the brooder and not fighting the foul weather you might be able to get close on your 6 lb goal.
They are amazing when they get the correct rations. As far and 6 lbs in 6 weeks---think that is a little out of touch for a backyard flock.
I plan on 8 weeks when I rotate the batches, but I pasture them and do not worry about their exact size. As long as they tast good that is all that matters.

You have a good 2 weeks I think you will be OK.

We tried to keep ours supplied with food at all times. Ours were ready to slaughter in about 10 weeks. They were huge! Your's look pretty normal, for that age. I don't know how to make them grow faster but you could try keeping them supplied with food at all times. Good luck!

This is a picture of a 5 week old chick from the last batch we raised. He is a little muddy; this picture was taken after 11 inches of rain fall the previous 2 days-summer of 2009. He is standing on the base of a 5 gallon plastic water fountain.

I am using a 28% game bird crumble, non medicated, mine are in the brooder for another week then they hit the ground in the big enclosed run, heat lamps and I fill the feeders twice during the day, they came from ideal and thursdday will be 2 weeks old, and have increased in size 3 maybe 4 times, they are jamming!!! when they hit 5 weeks I will start to incorporate a little ground milo into the ration and then some corn, thus far my expectations of gain have been met, I just ordered another 50 for next week
