Getting more chicks from Ideal!

My friend called yesterday right after I placed the order and said " When will they be here?" LOL

By next week we will be not so patiently waiting.

Those silkies are darling! Well, hopefully they will get there soon.

I have never had Fayoumis and I don't have any close friends that do either. So this is an experimental order.

(At least that is what I told the DH.

I'm not ordering from a hatchery, unless I buy some ducks or geese I think.
I'll be buying some EE and BO eggs from BYCers this spring though

I'd also like to get ahold of some of those BLRW eggs a friend has. LOL Oh and quail too.

Yep- Mine are suppose to ship out today as well! Whoo-hoo! Ideal said they should get here on Friday (per our phone conversation last week). Hope it really happens. I'm so impatient I might call this afternoon to double check on the ship out!

If this is what it's like waiting for live chicks for a few days, I cannot imagine the angst and craziness some of you go through for hatching chicks! (Give me time... I'm already scavenging parts to make Miss. Prissy's bator)

They sure did! They are some handsome little devils! I will relay the word that they are only to lay the pullet eggs! LOL

I will just have to eat the roo eggs.

Did you get your guineas sold? I still have mine. But they are caged! Mine were just being vicious! And they were raised with chicks!

I tell ya the very first time at hatching eggs I swear it felt longer than the last week of a pregnancy!

And then once the actual hatching started......oh it was all over! I set in front of that bator for 2 full days!!!
