Getting more ducks! how long do they need quarantining and how do i introduce them?

Hi

I am getting some female ducks (to even out my boy/girl ratio).

How long do I need to quarantine them for?
We have bird flu restrictions currently, in Ireland, so I want to be super careful to keep my ducks safe.

And once they don’t need quarantining, how do I introduce them to my ducks?

Anything else I need to do? Or just overall tips?


I am so excited!! I inquired about some female call ducks yesterday but they haven’t replied yet, I am so impatient!

Congratulations! These are adult females you are getting from someone in your area?
Generally recommended to quarantine two weeks.
I do not know the laws in Ireland for bird flu restrictions perhaps you could look that up?

The ad said they are young calls hatched 2025. the lady has not replied to me yet so for all i know the females arent availibe any more, but if these ones are not then i will be looking for more adult females.
they are 40 ish minuets from me.

i looked at the bird flu restrictions and cant see anything saying i cant bring new birds in and nothing on how long to quarentine (i dont think. i might have missed something)
