Getting my birds to use roost

Hi I have 7 10 -12 week old pullets. Only a couple use the roost so I can gather by the poop in the morning. The rest use the nest boxes like port o potties. Lol Any suggestions ?

They don't need access to the boxes for another 8 or more weeks. Just block them off. Leave them closed up until they are closer to laying. By then, they'll have their normal spot to roost. It's unusual for 10 weeks old to be sleeping on a roost so just let them sleep on the ground. They'll move up when they're ready.
