Getting my chicks from Ideal This coming week!!

I am in kentucky, and it is very chilly here this is my first time ever having chicks ship to me. I have cancled this order since talking to people on here twice. This is when it was changed to so I am just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best out come.

I hope and pray that your chickies make it ok - I got mine this past November right after Thanksgiving and 23 out of 26 made it perfect. One died the next day and 2 a week later - didn't grow like the others for some reason. We're now at a little over 4 weeks and they are HUGE!!!! and doing great. It was quite cold here believe it or not when they shipped. They were originally destined for Chicago but that's a whole 'nother story ...

Send lots of pics .... I love my EE's other than they are not as friendly as I wished they would be. But they are starting to run up to the front of their pen now when I come downstairs and cheep cheep at me. Man are they fat ....

LOL , Me too , I will ask him today when he comes to get some of the 120 we ordered and let you know. I am wanting to say it was Mt. Healthy out of Ohio , but I may be wrong. I have never ordered that many, well , actually we have never ordered any till now. PLUS, we have 40 in the small incubator , this is day 16, and about 15 that are already on day 21 and nothing happening yet , and some in the huge incubator that are due right now on the 18th of Jan . so this is why we have never ordered. These were just some of the kinds we had but they were not laying age yet and we wanted them for the speing sale . I will get that hatchery infor for you..

I wanted to let you know , although you already know and got the phone call early this morning as well, my chicks from Ideal arrived here they called around 7 this morning to tell me to come get them NOW.. lol , she only said it that way because I teased her and told her I would not be in town to get them till the 2nd.. lol , anyhow , I am unsure if they are all ok, Hubby is gone now to get them and take some to a friend and then bringing the rest back to me to take care of till someone else comes and gets some of his today. Let me know how your hatch arrived.. oh yeah , and what part of the state you live in.. We are always looking for people close to use to buy eggs for incubation from and maybe even chickens if it is something we do not have already laying. Talk to u later , Good luck with the mail.. I am sure it will go great , mine were right on time.

thankies !! ,, i have 2 sportsmans that have eggs going,, but still have to order

and the baby chicks arent as "fragile" as most think,, i was suppose to have an order of chicks the day before x-mas,, i got them the day after,, i had 1 dead,, but you could tell its been dead for a couple days.

MY CHICKS ARE HERE!! I am soooo excited! I haven't gotten to pick them up yet because my husband has the car and the gym (We are at work) I will post pictures later on today. This is my first batch of chickens.

My babies are here! Picked them up at 8 a.m. only lost one chick one of the silkies I ordered. The others are doing great already had a good drink and are scratching around eating their medicated chick feed. They all seem to be doing fine just seemed a little cold when I picked them up. All are under the heating lamp and I am keeping a close eye on them.

The packing peanuts are a breed IDK..lol I kept 3 to keep with my silkie chicks to help keep them warm. I think they may be delewares??? They have spots on their heads and yellow tummys and are black. Some have no spots or barly any spots at all.

I'll post pictures later! I am glad we only lost one so far I hope the others make it! So far so good!

I am in eastern kentucky about an hour and half east of lexington. around Mount sterling. its always nice to meet other ky peeps!..LOL
