Did U get the rabbit hutch ? I still have mine inside, in my office. Hoping 2 get them out this spring. pandering over what & how I will set up an area 4 them.
Yes, they R so cute.

UNLESS CAREFULLY CONSTRUCTED MOST TRACTORS JUST DONT AFFORD THEM ENOUGH PROTECTION

Exactly. They are likely to just hang out in the run instead of going in to a nice safe coop. I do believe quail COULD be tractored, but it would have to have a wire bottom that just lets the grass grow through but wont let anything get under the run area.

THEY ARENT AS SMART AS CHICKENS

They even make domestic ducks look like rocket scientists

@ Davlyn - No hutch yet, we had a snow, sleet, rain storm yesterday and still some nasty stuff today. The hutch is in the WAY back yard of our friends house. Hopefully if it stops spitting nasty stuff we will get it today.

@ Wifezilla - I am hoping this hutch will be fine without modification but, I do have a roll of 1/2" hardware cloth to reinforce if necessary. I just built a little barn for my chickens and put in house windows which I covered with the wire to keep out predators.

So, if this weather quits we can get the hutch but for now they are in a big wire dog crate, 36" x 19". Actually, I found it for free and I've actually never even seen one like it before. The wire goes both horizontally and vertically making 1" spaces. It's pretty cool and very useful for our little birds. DD put some pine branches in there for them to hide in and covered the bottom with my GOOD goat hay! Geeze, would love to be my little girls Quail-she will spoil them.
