Hello all! I'm getting my first ducklings soon and would LOVE advice on what you've done and what would help me being a first timer. I'm getting 4 Muscovy ducklings. Three hens and 1 drake. Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Be patient is all you needed. Let them swimming everyday.
Corns and flies is their favourite food. Better be keep them in a backyard with grass.
Be careful with any chemicals such like lawn killer.
Keep them from the danger of wild cats rats .......

What age? duckling need constant supervision if allowed to swim, believe it not ducklings can get water logged and drown so start out with something very shallow some use a paint roller pan cake pans things like that that they can get out of easy. and when they still have their fluff they can chill so they need to be patted dry and placed right back under a heat lamp.

adults ducks other than secure housing especially for night time when predators are moving around looking for an easy meal, need fresh water [bucket]so they can wash their faces especially when eating. very important for their health they can clean out their eyes and nares. they will appreciate a kiddy pool too for mating and washing. Make sure they will be behind strong fencing too, stray dogs plus wild predators are always lurking around looking for opportunities.Muscovy's are awesome ducks have very sweet personalities, wag their tails when happy and love to brood so if you want more ducks you got the right ducks to make you a nice flock.

Post pics when you get them.

Welcome to BYC!
