Can poults be placed in the same brooder as chicks? Also, re: feeding them, can they eat the same starter as the chicks?

The chicks will be about 3 weeks old by the time the breeder hatches the poults out.

Thanks folks!

I'd keep the poults separated (diff. temp. requirement/potential for injury to poults). Some folks use chick starter but I'd rather the chicks and poults all get gamebird starter. If the chicks and poults were hatched within a few days of one another then keeping them together isn't much of a problem and the chicks can be useful guides to the poults figuring out what/where `be the eats'.

Chicks can brood with turkeys. Just ask her. Yes, they can eat chick starter but, I would feed Game Bird or Turkey starter if you can find it.
Sorry, I have to edit this. Three weeks is too old to place together.

I would order a couple of chicks or guineas with the poults. You can even drop by the feed store and get a chick or 2 when you get the poults. It will make your life easier in teaching the poults to eat and drink.
