Getting new chicks

I am going to get new chicks soon, and I was wondering which way would be better: Having a broody hatch them, or getting them as chicks and raising them inside. I want a few girls and one rooster.

you would have to wait until they are 8 weeks old, until them you cannot tell males and females apart, unless they are sexed breeds.

I know, but I still want to know what way of raising them would be better, raising by myself or having a broody raise them.
