Getting ready for chickens.

My wife and I live in a small Missouri town, a farming community. We wanted to have a few chickens and found out the town ordinance allows 1 chicken per 1/2 acre. So we and some friends decided to protest at the town hall. After 3 months the city changed the rules to allow 6 chickens per residence. So now we are in the process of building a coup and yard for our flock. I have been studying the coup designs on this web site and if my wife and I can agree we will start building one soon.
