Getting ready in Western Washington

Hello. My name is Kate, and we are in the process of building a coop and run. .. we will be first time chicken owners of a small flock for eggs.

Boy do I know that!!! Tried to spit some snow around 5am here in Central Oregon today....put my chickies out to the coop yesterday...oh, just great...sigh. I ended up late last night seeing that the temps were dropping going out to the coop and put them "back" into their brooder box inside the coop itself with water and feed and the light suspended over them....eek!!

We now have a coop and four Plymouth Rock pullets. I have been spending my time watching them...they are entertaining
