Getting ready to be a new chick mommy

I have read so many posts cause I want to be a good chick mommy.Ive set up a extra large dog kennel for my babies and put clean towels in. have my feed and water stuff ready.I am going to buy some alfalfa tomorrow. I'm in florida and they will be on my back porch (screened in ) and our temp has been in the 90's during the day and high 70's at night. I just want to have everything ready for my call from the post office. what advice can I get for day 1 ...

Take lots of pictures!:D Go meet your post office staff, let them know you are eagerly awaiting that package, and ask if there is anything you can do to get it right away with minimum local travel. It sounds like you have all your supplies lined up ready to go. Welcome! Best of luck and enjoy the cuties!
 
They might need some heat at night. A good incandescent light bulb will work.
