Getting ready to give a broody hen some eggs. How many?

I have two broody hens right now. How many eggs should I let each girl have?

If they are bantams about 6-8, if they are full size up to 12.

Thank you! We usually use our incubator but we are going to let these two girls have some eggs. The are very determined!

Wow, I guess my broody hens were overworked, they are bantams. The one had 20 eggs under her the other one had 6. I didn't want to disturb them to see how many each had til they started hatching. They hatched 18 chicks out of 26 eggs, all were fertile just quit developing.
