Hello! I am getting ready to treat my flock of 14 hens for tapeworms with Zimectrin gold. What is the best way, try to identify which birds for sure have them or just treat them all? I`m tempted to treat them all. Anyone have a preference?

I have seen segments in at least 4 poops. I will likely just treat them all. It would be tough to figure out which eggs were laid by which hens for withdrawal period. At least that`s my thinking. I have already weighed them all so shouldn`t be too bad. They are all pretty tame. Thanks again for the info Eggcessive! You rock!

Now this morning as I had just changed bedding in the run I was scooping poop after I let my girls out. I noticed a poop had what looked like a dead round worm about 2&1\2 inches long. I was about ready to treat them all with zimectrin gold for tapeworms which I know at least 4 of them have. Should I assume others have the roundworms too? Should I go ahead and do the two dose course of treatment for tapeworms then treat them for roundworms too? If so how long should I wait to use fenbendazole. Good grief! 😵
