Hey everyone im planning on turning my old dog pen area into my rooster coop. It was my old flocks home until I made them a new one. Now I went out to clean the area and I was having fleas up all over me. -_- what would be the best and safes way to remove the fleas. My little roos won't be in that coop for a couple of months. But it's attached to a run where my new flock plus baby roos are kept. So I can't use harsh chemicals that could drain down in the run.

http://www.livingwithbugs.com/permethrin_pyrethrum.html Get some in concentrate form from your local TSC or farm store or order online. Follow directions and spray down the entire area real well. It is a natural substance or based on one. You can use DE (food grade only pls) if the area is dry (inside coop/nest boxes etc) but it will be useless in any wet area due to how it works.
