getting rid of lice

You might check with a local vet or farmer's co-op.

If you already have lice the DE will not help. It is used as a preventative measure. Once you have lice or mites you have to go with a pesticide. I don't know what is available there but talk to your local feed store. There are powders you can apply (make sure the powder is worked all the way down the feather shaft to the skin, the lice live there) or drops that can be used on the skin.

What ever you do don't wait. Lice will weaken chickens very quickly and can cause deaths.

Ebay has DE for fairly reasonable prices. That's where I got mine.
