Hi everyone, I am getting a variety of girls this time and I'm wondering when I can expect them to start laying. I'm getting RTL Barred Rocks, columbian rocks and black sex links. I'm guessing the rocks take a bit longer? Any ideas? Thanks

My pullets began laying at 5 months, but normally around 6. The rocks shouldn't take any longer or shorter. Some hens take longer or shorter than 5 or 6 months.

Onset of lay is between usually 18-24 weeks for most breeds.....your sexlinks may start earlier than the others.
