SLOW egg production

I've hung some chicken toys for them. They snatch the bright parts of them within hours and are left with empty hangers with bells. I put a roost in the run for them but I don't have hiding spaces.
I'd axe spending money on what sounds more like parrot toys and aim for clutter, it not only provides hiding places so picked on birds can get some relief but also enrichment in lieu of disposable toys.

I use an all flock feed with 18% protein. I provide oyster shell for them in two places. I feed them a good scratch in the morning, soldier fly larva treat mid-day, and a fruit snack in the evening.
Stop feeding all treats.
Feed only the flock feed

I was discussing my chicken's issue with my husband and realized I calculated their age wrong. They are 15 months old. Had their first birthday in August this year. Sorry all.
First adult molt generally starts around 16-18months of age, so it's close to time for molting.

Do you have to search for eggs? Or do they lay in nesting boxes in the coop?
Never really had to search for eggs. With very new-to-laying pullets you might eggs in odd places but that's just because they're not fully in control of the process yet and/or are unsure where is best to lay and are figuring things out.
