Getting started w quail

Does anyone have experience with wayfair or TSC or chewy rabbit hutches? Are they any good for keeping out predators?

I think you'll save a lot of money if you buy construction sand.

I got like 40 lbs of free pavers sand - substrate AND grit!! I hope it’ll work as a sand bath ok, it’s got a lot of bigger bits

Got hides - all I need now is a feeder and waterer, plus the feed, a bowl, and some oyster shell. Yippee!

Found a local-ish person with quail hens for sale who actually responds to emails. I’m 3 weeks out from being able to get them and I’m very excited! I also found a guy who sells handmade quail/rabbit hutches so I’m gonna grab one from him for an outdoor breeding flock at some point!

Soooo turns out aquariums and quail don’t mix well. I was able to return the aquarium, I’m gonna grab the hutch and now I just have to decide whether I want all hens or a roo to start out too!

its hutch week!!! I’m getting it on Friday and then feed and a feeder base next week and then the quail next week hopefully too!!!
