Getting started

Going to try to get to work early on the run. I need to get the cover on with the shade so the girls can stay out all day. 105 is just to hot to work in or be out in with out shade.

Beams are up and first section of wire and shade cloth up

Almost done
Still have some finishing touches to work on but it is now safe for the girls to be out of the coop with out me there. I worked through 95+ heat to finish the wire top and shade. They better appreciate it and be egg laying machines. Found some old lattice to go on the west side. Will see if that gives them enough shade from the afternoon sun.

Good job!

On the coop itself I would add some windows and put hardware cloth over them for more ventilation.

There is a large window on the west side of the coop and the roof line is open the coop stays reasonable even at 105
