Dodong was terminated for cause. He got quite nasty. Is threatening legal action but we have good documentation.

Did Dodong see his dismissal coming?

actually he did not.

He had become so complacent that he was blind sided.

Last time I was home we talked about trust, theft and security. I was pretty obvious in pointing out that I am more concerned with pilfering by staff (him) than by somebody breaking in. And that little things disappearing weighs heavily on trust. We also gave him a stern warning about unauthorized borrowing from petty cash. I said in no uncertain terms that we consider it theft - even if their is intent to replace.

The next week, Inday went out on Friday instead of Sat. Petty cash had been tapped again. We knew then that we were going to have to replace Dodong. It took 8 weeks to get the replacement and dong had thought that the theft was forgotten.

Its ok. My wifes familyhas had many similar experiences but then found the right person that stays 30 years.

Its just a numbers game.
