Its half way through Thursday at CocoBeach.

The new coops are basically finished. The egg boxes (2 per coop) are attached. The pen has been closed off with green mesh, We will close off the top tomorrow afternoon when the fish net gets there.

That completes the final stage of the coop production. We have 13 coops.

Coops A+B are 8x8 with a 20x8 run each
Coops 1-5 are 6x6 with a 6x14 run each
Coops 6-11 are 4x4 with a 4x10 run each.

The new coops will hold breeders. BLR Wyandottes, BBS Jersies, BBS Orps, Buff Orps, Rhode Island Reds and Barred Rocks.
Coops A+B will be grow out coops, 1-5 hold Guineas, Easter Egger and mutt layers, juvenile Breds, Andalusians, legbars, leghorns and the Banty Cochins.

The goat house needs to be finished. The goats and my life are in danger if the little buggers take to a fruit tree. Its being worked on today. It will be 10x8 and 5 feet off the ground. The rear wall will be 4ft and front wall 6ft. The walls will be coco tree scrap like coops 1-5. The front wall will have a half wall only with an open top half and 2' wide door opening. The pen will be 20x40 hog and barbed wire.

I am hoping they will finish it by Tuesday next week.

The final farrowing pen is scheduled to be completed today. Then the welders move onto a replacement entrance gate and a new side delivery entrance. I am hoping to be down to the three permanents (Bernie, Analou and Aljay) as well as the 2 day workers (Dado and Tanoy) by Sunday.

Quail eggs came off the turner last night and will be removed from the incubator room and placed in the hatching bator in the adjacent room.

By Friday we should have photos. Hopefully some of the pics will be chicks.

OZ I am always overwhelmed by how organized you are down to the last nail. Were you like this even as a child? Do you ever truly relax or are you ever thinking of the next project ?

I'm exhausted just reading all the things you do.

They are GORGEOUS!!! I Have only one pair at the moment, and an extra roo. My other pullet didn't survive childhood :(

I'm still into lots of breeds, haven't had chickens long enough to specialize yet :)
