After feeling pressure from here to not put some mutts in the freezer, I sent Bernie to the Market to sell a trio as an experiment. The mean copper marans roo brought $4.60. The 13 month old layers went for $3.45 each. There were sold separately so they will be in the pot somewhere tonight. I ended up with enough to buy half a sack of rice bran.
At least I tried.
it was a pretty small market, maybe a bigger one will bring better informed buyers.i am shocked that no one there wanted them for breeding stock
but i understand many people in the "PI" only think about where their next meal will come from.
