As a former owner of a 91 4x4 toyota pick up, They are great for hauling stuff, I always kept telling people, "Don't worry bout the mule, just load the wagon" As for Trailer the longer the wheel base the more time you have to react to corrective steering, hence a 53' trailer is slower to react than a 4'/ Gratz on the baby goat Oz

Phew, that was a lot of reading!

Lurker from Finland here, hello.

First of all, congratulations on finalizing the adoption Oz, sure must feel nice. I agree with previous comments, you really should look into getting your story published at some point, it really is quite the adventure.

Then a short presentation. I'm new to this chicken keeping stuff, our oldest are 9 weeks now, and I just finished my first coop a few weeks ago. Originally they were my girlfriends idea, but I secretly like them too (Don't tell her that, I don't want her to think she could easily get me to clean the coops aswell). We have a flock of 6 at the moment, with 3 more coming in a few weeks to kick-start egg-production.

I shall keep reading this entertaining adventure, and possibly chime in with my 2 cents every once in a while.

May your future endeavors be fruitful,

Felix

*Edit*

Oh and Oz, have you considered relocating to Scandinavia? Our schools are supposedly decent here =)

I am planning to start writing the book version within the next few weeks.

Its probably going to take a year but what the heck.

Please add your 2 cents - be they Euro or USD - whenever you like.

We will keep your secret well.

I just finished my MRI - a 9:15PM appointment!

An hour on a nice hard table. Still, I am glad its over.

Hopefully I can geth to see the ortho in a week and then wait for the HMO auth for surgery somewhere more "chickenny" than my apartment in Anaheim

May one be so bold as to ask what's wrong with the knee? They just concluded a huge double blind study in Finland where some patients with age related joint issues (I'm not saying you're old [= ) in the knees were given actual surgery and others just had placebo surgery. Both groups did equally well after surgery, with the conclusion that we do up to 10 000 unnecessary knee operations annually here in Finland.

the operation you are referring to is arthroscopy - and often it is done with arthritis which is totally useless as well as over done for other diagnosis.

it is very over used

I am waiting on official diagnosis after the MRI my bet is its Osteoarthitis - if so surgery is only option.

Even if its an arthroscopy for a menisectomy - I will have it as right now I am pretty much useless
