I do like slw also. The lacing is so clean.

I am on my own out here on the farm. I will do the 3hr drive back this afternoon. Toni's gymnastics performance is on later. I also need some supplies for the new incubator.

It's getting very hard to find incandescant light bulbs here. I bought out the supply of 40 and 50 Watt for the brooders from the largest hardware chain store. We will have to run around the smaller ones today and see what we can find.

I just finished breakfast of barbecued eggplant flattened then dipped in egg and pan fried along with some leftover bbqed pork belly.

Time to start spray painting the farrowing pens with cold galvanizing compound

Things sounds like the are going steller Oz. Fingers crossed for those candle results to keep going strong. We will get the torch out for our broody tonight or tomorrow I think....have a little peek and see how nature is doing under mum!

The ceramic heat globes are the way to go - I have one thats been running for nearly 25 years.

I use these for brooder heat. They are awesome and seem to last me about 4 years.
They are only about $7 on ebay. Also you can get them in 120 and 240W.
