Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

As far as glamor shots go, this Sunday the contestants in the Miss Tiling competition for the upcoming barangay (village) Fiesta will be here as they have asked to use our garden for their photo shoot.
Who is doing all of the poop-scooping to keep it all clean looking? I know what our yard looks like after we let the horses do a bit of lawn mowing, and we don't even have any goats!

That does sound like fun!

My internet.... I use it for BYC, Facebook and reading articles. I really don't need 20 mbps

I suppose it's nice to be able to watch Netflix (although I just as easily could rent a DVD). It's amazing how it has become hard to get bare-bone anything. I've cancelled my TV when I could no longer get a true basic package and they wanted me to have 100+ channels I never watch. All I wanted was PBS for the kids

I don't really use my cellphone, but you're forced to buy x amount of minutes or data or whatever. I know mine has internet capability, but frankly, I have a PC if I need internet.

I swear I live in the wrong century.

Maybe I need to live in the Phillipines

How are the mosquitoes there?

http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3555970432 I do play WOW online, but I also like following the links provided on BYC

. I rarely watch TV anymore... seems to be the same old crap re-hashed and re-served. My home phone is a magic jack which I paid for several years ago and it's still going fine (when I have it plugged in that is

That's my "published" number that marketers call). I have a "smart" cell phone that barely gets "tested" by its owner (I use the computer for internet etc.) I have used the GPS function a few times, have unlimited talk and text, haven't made a "talk" call in several months, and text maybe 2-3 times a week to my kids. I got a free X-Box 360, gave the only game for it away to my son, and use it for watching DVDs or accessing Netflix online. ( prefer a movie on the big screen as opposed to my computer screen... besides, my recliner is much more comfortable

, and there, I don't end up with keyboard forehead

) Did someone mention mosquitoes? One just flew in front of the screen. Grrrrr.

Good ol' World of Warcraft. I played that with my ex-husband (a final attempt to reconcile our marriage. He was raiding several nights a week and I never saw him
lol.png
) I quit after WOTLK, just couldn't keep up with the end game content... and I got divorced, met someone new yada yada. I've got days I'd love to waste a few hours playing, but my PC is fairly barebones and doesn't have that kind of power and well, kids. Good lore though, I actually enjoyed reading some of the books.

My husband is super old skool and actually got me to play MegaMud. Hello 1990s. Ofcourse, that got old after a while. I got back into Runescape for a bit, but that got old. Just don't have the money or drive to upgrade this PC to be able to play the newer games, not for the casual bit of gaming I do these days.

I still fire up Ye Old Age of Empires at times.. or some games on the original Xbox (my hubby took the 360 and the gaming PC in the divorce. Fair is fair. I kept the house. Priorities

) or Warcraft (Age of Empires with orcs).

I'm all grown up and responsible (boring) now.

That's the one I remember, loved playing that game. Might have to see if my parents still have it and if so try loading it onto my computer. Though if I do I can see me having to play once the kids are asleep or they will try their hardest to take it over.

The only computer games we have in our house are the Let's Dance series for Wii and memory games on the kids tablets.

Once we had scrabble on a pc but after I spent a whole night playing and had to go to work the next day I decided to not have it available to my addictive personality.

I should finish the upgrade to the hatcher-bator today. The guys are pretty-ing the garden for Sunday.

Tomorrow we need to drop $400 on a new air conditioner as the aluminium fins on the one in our current bedroom unit have corroded away.
