Yeah I thought I had the right plan to begin with but I am told we need other arrangements if I am going to have breeding pens.... 4x4 pens are not big enough for 2 chickens....

OH and they gotta be able to free range....

So the coop we built in October 2012 will have to be modified... A Bunch. The original is 8'x16' divided in half. The front was to be for roosting at night and laying boxes. The back pen I had planned on dividing it up into 9 stacked 4'x4' breeding pens. Now with all these dang roosters/pairs I got, and new requirements. I am thinking Tractors may be the way to go and maybe some chicken and dumplings...

Plus trying to find ways of cutting the feed bill for 42, 38 after freezer camp reservations are filled. And I'm not allowed to practice my chicken math Till they can pay there own way

. We need a smiley with a adding machine to symbolize chicken math.

Poor guy! His ears must burn quite a bit these days! LOL!

And yet, though it is work, it still sounds like he is enjoying the chickens. Clearly he takes remarkable care of them. To notice one sick chick among the masses - he is really paying attention to each and every one.
