sitting is no real problem walking too much is no good though

the beach house/farm is ok. the storm is directly above us beating on the northern tip of the island but we are getting good protection from the mountains. provided we dont get a whip up from when it tracks further west, this will just be an exercise in getting prepared.

there is a total power and phone outage on the northern part of our island including Bacolod City where Mrs Oz family resides. They have a solid 2 storey house so they will be fine. The storm will pass over boracay and romblon in the next 3 hrs

power just went out and winds are picking up. rains are extemely heavy. bernie and family are ok

We lost power but no other damage.

My parent-in-laws had several fruit trees destroyed.



Sugar cane crop flattened.

The country was amazingly well prepared

I have been really disconnected from the world (dad had surgery) and only this morning saw the news of this storm. Immediately thought of your family. I logged in only to find that I was unsubscribed from the thread! I'm back on and glad to hear all fared well. Very scary.
