Who knows Rolito he may develope the Filipino strain of Bresse. A super bird.... Good forager Tough genetically a survivor in adverse situations.... and a great dinner partener.... heh heh...

Perhaps. And since Sir Oz develope the strain i suggest to name or call it Oz Breezy since CocoBeach is a nice breezy area . . . heh heh

How funny! And you just never know. One hundred years from now there may be just such a breed, and you will be a big part of the back-story. Every breed starts somewhere, and if you have an all-free-range flock, they will develop as a strong landrace breed as the strongest, most suitable birds for the climate will survive and procreate.

These are the times I wish I had a crystal ball that would allow me to look into the future.

I'm with everyone else. If you have a beautiful roo, keep him. He may add valuable genes somewhere down the lines.

And really, how cool would it be to create your own breed? There are some young breeds that started out like that.

super cool to cross breed the rooster with the local flock that has managed to survive the local diseases and have see where that takes Mr. Oz.
maybe he will bring eggs back from the Philippines.

Seeing as the Bresse is named after the province in France it originated from, it would only be proper to name his super hardy and amazing offspring after the area Oz is creating this new breed. (No pressure or nothing, we're not totally pushing yet another project on you. Honest!)

The Province is Negros Occidental. The USA might have trouble with a Negro Chicken.... maybe "the cauayan"

Bernie took a day off to get his bike riders license renewed. In true Pinoy stlye, he rode passed two offices to go to the one that his cousin's friend's sister's mother in law's grand child works at. All he has to do is pay a fee. What can I say.....

i hope he also has "for registration" on the back of his not so new bike

after all 1/2 of the other bikes are running around like that

i can't figure it out but i guess that is just the way things are done there

They both look good in their yellow sweaters.


Bernie's bike was registered - it was his license - and he previously had a license so it was just a renewal. I guess it was great excuse to ride over the mountain. Mrs Oz is doing that today on a bus. Hers is a 6 hour ride there, a 2 hour meeting and then a 6 hour ride back.
