I have been thinking about getting a few Cornish x from the local Tractor Supply this year. New to meaties, just wanna give it a go.

Who am I kidding, I have plans to hatch 250 mutts this month, I am going to have around 60 spare roosters to eat between August and whenever


but I do really want to try some meaties that eat 50% fresh coconut meat 50% corn diet for last 2 weeks

Yes mam..Really big chicken. I do feel kind of misleading some of you guys. I have never had bresse meat. I can not honestly say this is the best meat.... I can say it was huge and good tasting. Although non reproducible in the home enviroment.

I get that these little frankenchickens are not reproducable.

We have 45 day chicks in our agri-vet stores. I just wont bring them home

ask yourself one question..........is the trouble worth the end result? The Cornish birds are breed for production here in the states. They come from 3 different breeds over multiple breeding's...... yeah that phil chicken taste the same, and do you need to go to the trouble for a business getting a foot hold..... hell no. Oz don't go ADD on us ( I HAVE IT COVERED). that's a non attainable goal

the local meaties are from SASSO and Grimaud - 2 european chicken hatchery companies. There are multiple variants based on growth rate and growing conditions.

Most are grown by contract growers for Bounty Fresh Chickens or one of the other bagged chicken companies.

I tried to hatch a 6 pack of cornish once - no luck. I havent tried again simply because I have not come accross eggs,

I found a whats ap message on my phone when I awoke saying there were 11 pippers in the bator, 27 eggs laid today and 54 eggs laid in the last 4 days were set.

Suddenly we are a chicken farm.

When God showers down blessings it rains eggs! Praise the Lord!
